Mellieħa AC marches on

It’s been a month now since the biggest day on the Maltese athletics calendar – the day of the marathon and half marathon.

For some, it’s been a month of anti-climax, but at Mellieha AC, the spirit of the day seems to carry on.  We are a club of runners, where running is our lifestyle and races are simply a celebration of our lifestyle rather than the only reason we run for.  On Sundays, we kept on meeting for our long runs, even though they’ve been shorter, and now we’re geared up to show our colors at the Pembroke race, and on the final race of the MAAA League at Marsascala.

Following that, we will organise a duathlon in Dingli, and in May we will celebrate running in our hometown with the Mellieha Races.

In the meantime, this Saturday our country will be represented by our own Andrew Grech at the World Half Marathon Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Mellieha AC is the way forward.
